Preparation Instructions:

  • Rinse Well: Rinse the Alder leaves thoroughly.
  • Soak: Cover with boiling water and leave until waterlogged. For enhanced biofilm growth, leave the leaves longer before adding to your tank.
  • Softening: Soaking also softens the leaf, making it easier for shrimp to graze on.
  • Note: Dried Alder leaves are very fragile and must be handled with care.
